September 30, 2007For the new director’s cut, the special-effects footage was digitally scanned at 8,000 lines per frame, four times the resolution of most restorations, and then meticulously retouched. The results look almost 3-D.

I wonder if we could make it to the Ziegfield in New York? Also, I wonder how long it’ll be playing up there? They’re missing a big chance at raking in bigtime $$$ by not releasing the movie in theaters all over the country! Maybe if all the theaters where they do release it are completely jam-packed, they’ll get the idea.
