A benefit was held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Mount Savage on February 25, with proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Locks of Love. The Ladybirds were there to entertain for this occasion.

Wayne Skidmore had grown his hair for eighteen months in preparation for donating his locks to the Make-A-Wish-Foundation. Though the Ladybirds were there specifically to support Wayne Skidmore, other people also donated their hair to the Locks of Love program, a nonprofit organization that provides hairpieces for financially disadvantaged children who suffer from long-term medical hair loss. Additionally, free will donations were accepted. Refreshments were available, and raffles were held as part of this worthy fundraiser.
