The Day Care Providers at Hobo’s
The Ladybirds have been pretty active of late. Tonight they performed for the Day Care Providers at their banquet, which was held at Hobo’s Restaurant in Hyndman, Pennsylvania. The group met at the parking lot near the LaVale United Methodist Church at 5:20 p.m. and carpooled to the restaurant in time to eat dinner there and warm up for the performance. There were thirteen people who participated in this event.
From all reports, the gig was wonderful! It was fortunate that the chorus had this opportunity to sing tonight because it served as kind of a dress rehearsal for tomorrow’s Rotary Radio Day, which is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at WCBC Radio station in Cumberland.
The songs that the chorus sang tonight include: This Is The Army, Meet Me In St. Louis, Heart of My Heart, God Bless America, Let Me Call You Sweetheart (by Three Katz & A Mouse), The Irish Blessing, Sing Your Way Home, and We Sing Our Hearts Out.
The Ladybirds were fortunate to have their coach, Jim West, present tonight; he will also be in attendance at WCBC tomorrow evening for the broadcast; in fact, he will be getting us started on each song so that Ellie can sing bass with the group. Thanks, Jim. Your help is most appreciated!
