The Ladybirds gathered at Devlin Manor Nursing Home to sing for the residents on May 28, 2009. They had a special reason to go there because one of their own is currently there for rehab on a broken hip.

Jennifer Bennett, one of the newest Ladybirds, is a cancer survivor. She has had several surgeries and lots of treatments over the last several years.

A couple of years ago, Jennifer expressed an interest in joining the Ladybirds, which she did. She is a talented singer and a quick learner. She has been a wonderful asset to the group as a lead singer.

Jennifer loves to sing and has lots of experience. For a good while she was a cantor at her church.

Jennifer was happy to see the group, as was the group to see her. She was brought into the room where the performance was held so she could join in with the Ladybirds. She knows most of the songs that were presented.

How wonderful to see Jennifer and to have her sing with the group again. She is on everyone’s prayer list for a speedy recovery so that she can come back to sing on a regular basis!
