About Three Katz & A Mouse
About The Ladybirds
About Afternoon Delight
This brand new quartet, Three Katz & A Mouse, was recently formed from the ranks of the Ladybirds Barbershop Chorus. They made their debut at a gig for the residents of Frostburg Village Nursing Home in June 2006. The group consists of: Cissy McKenzie (lead), Carol Harr (baritone), Karen Emerick (tenor) and Margie Mouse (bass). With this information, one can easily figure out how the name Three Katz & A Mouse evolved.
Three Katz & A Mouse had not been an active quartet for very long before the foursome decided to change their name to Havin’ Fun. That was interesting because, when the Ladybirds sang the song I’m Still Havin’ Fun during the A Night at the Music Box show, Margie thought her quartet was being announced and got up to sing; she quickly sat down again when she realized her mistake. Not long after that, they decided they liked their original name (Three Katz & A Mouse) better than Havin’ Fun after all—and so they changed back to their former name!
This group was on the program to perform at A Night at the Music Box in September 2006, and perform they did! Everyone enjoyed hearing them sing Heart of My Heart and I Love You Truly. Nothing like a full-fledged Barbershop Show to stir the juices of a new quartet! They did a fine job and have gone on to entertain further since that time! They’re available to entertain at local functions if you would like to contact them.
