May You Always…Harmonize
In 2001 the Ladybirds made their first CD of favorite Barbershop tunes. The title of the album is May You Always…Harmonize, and this title combines two ideals that are special to the Ladybirds, the song May You Always, which encompasses the wishes of the group for their audiences, and Harmonize, which is what Barbershop is all about.

The Ladybirds invited guest quartets Senior Moments and Afternoon Delight to participate on the CD, and each quartet contributed several wonderful songs. Afternoon Delight was formed early on from within the ranks of the the Ladybirds Chorus and has remained active ever since. The major portion of the album, however, features the Ladybirds Chorus singing a collection of their favorite numbers. The final segment of the CD is a collection of patriotic songs.
As the group had recently purchased new performance outfits, they had a new portrait photograph taken which was used on the cover of the CD. The Ladybirds dedicated their CD to the victims and survivors of the September 11th tragedy. Since the CD was already late into production, nothing 9/11-specific could be added except for the dedication, which appeared on the CD label. However, the Ladybirds soon thereafter released a second special CD expressly in memory of 9/11, entitled A New America.
The Ladybirds wish to thank Kenneth Batchelor and Frank Batchelor for their arduous and dedicated work in the recording and production of May You Always…Harmonize, and for the photography and cover art design work. The group is grateful for their expertise!
